Tbilisi Mayor: On October 1, GD, driven by people’s protest, achieved historic victory over evil

“October 1 is a significant date in our nation’s recent history. On this day, Georgian Dream, founded by Bidzina Ivanishvili, and following many thousands people’s protest, succeeded in overcoming evil, ending the country’s decline and restoring the violated rights of its citizens,” wrote Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze on social media.

Kaladze noted that despair, fear, the humiliation of dignity, and the trampling of property rights were replaced by hope and faith, which emerged with Bidzina Ivanishvili’s entry into politics.

“The founder of Georgian Dream risked his own family’s safety to achieve victory alongside the Georgian people. October 1, 2012, marked the beginning of our country’s development and proved that it is truly governed by the Georgian people, their will and interests. Over the past 13 years, the events and the key projects undertaken have demonstrated that the ruling team is capable of advancing the nation and securing its rightful place on the world stage.

Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia has no rivals, a fact that will be reaffirmed after thirteen years, on October 4. I congratulate the members of Georgian Dream on this day. Once again, I extend my best wishes for victory and success to our team and all of Georgia. Many more victories await us ahead,” Kaladze stated.
