Tbilisi City Hall opens "60+ club for healthy and active lifestyle"

Tbilisi City Hall introduced the Sports for the Older Generation project to encourage people aged 60 and above to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

The initiative, which is set to begin on October 10, would subsidise the services of swimming pools and fitness centres for people aged 60 and above.

Simultaneously, the Mirza Gelovani library will host the “60+ club for an active and healthy lifestyle”.

In partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Tbilisi’s multipurpose libraries carry out the programme.

The “60+ Club” is a municipal program for those 60 and older who want to improve their quality of life, maintain their health, and engage in society. Members will have the chance to learn new skills, share their experiences, organize events, and more.
