Tbilisi City Hall to restrict traffic for Alilo

Tbilisi City Hall will restrict traffic movement on January 7 due to Alilo, a traditional Christmas procession.

Alilo will kick off at noon from First Republic Square. The participants will walk through Rustaveli Avenue downward to Freedom Square.

Therefore, the drivers will have to move through the adjacent streets, since the central avenue will be blocked for traffic. Movement will be restricted from Kote Apkhazi and Shalva Dadiani Streets.

During the procession, traffic will be restricted at Bratashvili Bridge, Baratashvili Ascend and Avlabari Square. Movement will be allowed across the right riverbank of the Mtkvari.

Routs of public transport will also be modified. Traffic will fully be restored after the completion of the Alilo procession.
