The Tbilisi City Hall has announced the renewal of the specialized vehicle fleet of Eco Service Group LLC in an effort to further improve the maintenance and management of the capital’s green spaces.

According to the City Hall, the company has purchased around 40 units of vehicles and specialized equipment, which will significantly increase the efficiency, speed, and scale of maintenance works.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze inspected the newly acquired equipment together with the head of Eco Service Group LLC, Vakhtang Nozadze.

Speaking at the presentation event, Kaladze said that during the 2017 local elections he promised residents that existing problems in the city would be addressed gradually and according to priorities, with the goal of making Tbilisi a modern, European, green, and environmentally friendly city.

“Since 2017, when Tbilisi residents entrusted us with managing the capital, we knew this would not be an easy path, as the city faced many long-standing challenges. However, we also knew from the beginning that by setting the right priorities, working consistently, and sparing no effort, Tbilisi would change for the better,” Kaladze said.

He noted that the city’s development is not limited to implementing new projects but also includes the daily maintenance, preservation, and improvement of already created infrastructure.

According to the mayor, Eco Service Group LLC was established within the municipal system in 2018 and is responsible for the daily maintenance of Tbilisi’s green and recreational spaces.

“As the number of new parks and green areas continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important that this service has modern equipment and sufficient resources to carry out its work more effectively. Today, we are presenting nearly 40 units of specialized equipment promised before the elections. This is not simply an update of machinery — it is an investment in the daily lives of every Tbilisi resident,” Kaladze said.

He added that the renewed fleet would contribute to better-maintained parks and squares, a greener urban environment, and higher-quality municipal services.

The mayor thanked Eco Service Group employees, as well as representatives of the Tbilisi City Hall Environmental Protection Department and district administrations, for their contribution to expanding and maintaining the city’s green spaces.

The newly purchased equipment includes 13 standard dump trucks, eight double-cabin dump trucks, seven minibuses, three flatbed trucks equipped with specialized spraying systems, four vans fitted with tools to serve as mobile workshops, a grass seeding machine, specialized tree transplanting equipment, and 130 units of various gardening tools and mechanisms.

According to the City Hall, the upgraded fleet and modern equipment will allow Eco Service Group to carry out green space maintenance works more efficiently, improve operational capacity, and introduce modern approaches to urban greening.

The presentation was attended by Tbilisi Vice Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze, deputy mayors, district governors, heads of relevant municipal services, and members of the City Council.
