Tbilisi Airport wins five European awards from Airports Council International

Tbilisi International Airport has been recognised in five categories at the Airports Council International (ACI) European awards, cementing its place among the continent’s leading airports. The honours were awarded in the category of airports serving up to five million passengers annually, one of the most competitive brackets in the rankings.

Levan Moseshvili, Director General of the United Airports of Georgia, welcomed the achievement as a landmark moment for both the airport and the country’s aviation sector as a whole.

“The five awards granted by Airports Council International represent significant international recognition, confirming that Tbilisi International Airport stands among Europe’s leading airports in terms of passenger service quality. It is particularly noteworthy that these results have been achieved under the management of TAV Georgia, the operating company of Tbilisi and Batumi international airports, and within the framework of the international expertise and support provided by Groupe ADP. Their involvement ensures modern management standards, innovative approaches, and the continuous development of infrastructure,” Levan Moseshvili said.

Moseshvili noted that being recognised in five out of six possible categories demonstrates that Shota Rustaveli International Airport is upholding international standards and maintaining a high level of both safety and passenger satisfaction.

“I extend my gratitude to every member of staff, to our partner companies, first and foremost TAV Georgia and Groupe ADP, and to our passengers for their trust. This success is the result of a collective effort, and it serves to strengthen Georgia’s standing in the international aviation sector,” he stated.

In 2025, ACI assessed top-performing airports across six categories. Tbilisi International Airport secured recognition in five of them, a result that speaks to the airport’s consistently high levels of service quality, operational efficiency, and passenger satisfaction.
