Sweden FM supports EU accession path for Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia; emphasizes ensuring access for Ukraine, Moldova

We are in favour of the EU accession path forward for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Tobias Billström, stated in Brussels.

“We have seen now the proposal made by the Commission and that entails Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.

We are in favour, of course, of the EU accession path forward for all three of them. But we believe, at this stage, the most important thing is to see to it, that Ukraine can gain access, together with Moldova, because we need to see a movement forward based on a proposal that the Commission has presented,” he stated.
