New PM reiterates Georgia's commitment to EU integration as primary focus of govt's efforts

Georgia’s new Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has announced that active consultations will take place in Brussels on various topics to bring Georgia even closer to the EU.

He emphasized that the Georgian government is committed to full integration into the EU.

“We have achieved candidate status, so now, it’s essential to increase our cooperation. Active consultations will be conducted on various subjects to further align our country with the EU. Detailed discussions will concern the association agenda, encompassing the nine-point implementation plan and addressing various topics. I reiterate our firm commitment to spend all efforts for Georgia’s full integration into the EU. It is the primary focus of the government’s endeavours,” Kobakhidze stated.

The new PM’s visit to Brussels is scheduled for February 20-21.
