Strategy Aghmashenebeli leader Giorgi Vashadze presented a new political union Third Force on Monday.

Giorgi Vashadze introduced the union members and focused his speech on various problems facing the country including the economic crisis, unemployment, rise in prices, Covid-pandemic aggravated by the political polarization, hatred, confrontation.

According to Giorgi Vashadze, the current situation pushed for a new political force to emerge.

“Politicians and public persons united in the Third Force will bring people’s problems and say back to the political arena,” he claimed.

According to Grigol Vashadze, a member of the Third Force and former Chair of the United National Movement, certain politicians strayed in the past, while others failed to learn from past mistakes.

Grigol Vashadze said Georgia has been moving around the same circle unable to establish normal, functioning, and western standard-based democracy for the last 30 years. That led to disappointment and pessimism both in Georgian people and international partners.

He believes several things need to be done immediately to preserve Georgian statehood: Political accord, no surprises in foreign policy, economic development, and healthcare as the primary priority.

The Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Republican Party, Free Democrats, and Grigol Vashadze formed the Third Force.
