Tea Akhvlediani, Georgia’s State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, met with members of the Council of Europe delegation as part of their preparations for the 31st Consolidated Report of the Secretary-General on the Conflict in Georgia.
Discussions focused on the severe humanitarian and human rights situation in Georgia’s occupied regions.
Akhvlediani also briefed the delegation on the progress of the reconciliation and engagement policy, highlighting efforts to improve socio-economic conditions for conflict-affected populations and foster trust and dialogue within the divided society.
The Council of Europe representative praised Georgia’s efforts and reaffirmed full support for the peace process. Both sides agreed to maintain close cooperation.
