Special Squad officer was buried with military honors

Ivane Golashvili, Special Squad officer, who died during the special operation at Monk Gabriel Salosi Street in Tbilisi on November 22, was buried with military honors at Mukhatgverdi Brothers’ Cemetery today.

The military orchestra performed a mourning march and Georgian anthem.

The burial ceremony was attended by family members, relatives, ordinary citizens, the Head of State Security Service and Minister of Defense, as well as personnel of General Staff of the armed forces.

The civil funeral was held at Kashuati Church in Tbilisi.

The state will allocated 100,000 GEL and monthly – 1000 GEL for the deceased family.

Ivane Golashvili, 41, was wounded in his head area during the special operation and underwent through a surgery at Ingorokva Clinic. The patient was connected to artificial breathing apparatus and his health condition was critical. Doctors failed to save his life.
