Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili recommended everyone use their own brains and eyes when debating the so-called Foreign Agents Bill at the parliament bureau.

Shalva Papuashvili reminded the opposition of the allegedly rigged 2020 elections. He predicted that the “Propaganda Bubble” would burst this time, revealing the reality.

“This propaganda bubble, like every previous one, will burst, and confidence in you will be shaken, as it has been shaken before, which is why I say, instead of propaganda, focus on content. We will allow nobody to express quasi-patriotic sentiments. Behind me is a portrait of King David Agmashenebeli. I will allow no one to draw a parallel to Russia. When we’re here, no one will allow you to pretend to be patriotic,” he said.

Georgian Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee on Monday backed the People’s Power-tabled draft bills on Transparency of Foreign Influence and Registration of Foreign Agents in the first reading.
