Speaker: Opposition feels itself in a movie watching new season about Hungary; Previously, they supported Venezuelan scenario

“The opposition’s main problem is that they live a life of others,” Shalva Papuashvili, Georgian Parliament Speaker, told reporters in Turkiye.

According to the Speaker, the opposition feels itself like in a movie as co-participants of processes ongoing in other countries.

“They watch Venezuela and become Venezuelans, then they look at Hungary and become Hungarians, they watch Ukrainians and become Ukrainians. They are disconnected from their countries and their voters and represent a group which lives a life of others.

The opposition representatives feel like in a movie, watching everything taking place outside and consider themselves co-participants of the movie. They become participants in the processes which are happening in another country. They suffer from a certain kind of disorder, in that they become complicit in processes taking place elsewhere and are disconnected from reality.

For many years, they have not acknowledged that this is not the way to win the hearts of their voters. They simply watch another series, which is about Hungary, where the opposition won in the parliamentary elections.

Previously, in Venezuela, the president was removed from the country through external intervention; there were supporters of that scenario. They are watching a TV series and a new season this time.

Something else will happen somewhere else, and they will reshape themselves. They don’t have their own agenda, opinion, or policy; they represent a group, which depends on others, and they follow others,” he said.
