The Georgian National Environment Agency has issued a warning regarding severe weather conditions in western Georgia that are expected to last until February 27.
Anticipated weather threats include rain, snow, dense fog, frost, snowstorms, and icy road conditions, with the potential for landslides in hilly areas. The risk of avalanches remains high in mountainous regions.
In response to the heavy snowfall and adverse conditions, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure has implemented special traffic regulations throughout Georgia, designating the threat level as high.
Furthermore, heavy vehicles have been mobilized to clear central roads and highways of snow and to spread technical salt to improve traction.
