Second round of 2018 presidential elections held in Afghanistan

The Georgian soldiers, serving in Resolute Support peace mission in Afghanistan, voted in the second round of 2018 presidential elections.

According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, the voting process was held in a peaceful environment with the observance of relevant procedures. The vote-counting will begin at Central Election Commission (CEC) after balloting is over following November 28 elections in Georgia.

Two polling stations were opened at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan in connection with the second round of 2018 presidential elections to be held on November 28 in Georgia. The CEC provided the special polling stations with movable balloting boxes. Representatives of CEC and political parties observed the process.
