Schools to be obliged to provide appropriate conditions for medical facilities

The schools in Georgia will be obliged to create appropriate conditions for medical facilities.

Relevant amendments are included in the Law on General Education, which will be initiated at today’s sitting of the Bureau.

According to the bill, the Ministry of Education will approve the standard of the medical staff of a general education institution.

As the changes claim, as of today, out of 2,500 public school buildings, the medical unit operates only in 532. By January 1, 2023, medical facilities should be set up in 2,000 public school buildings.

According to the education committee, the equipping of each medical facility requires 5,000 GEL. The remaining buildings will need to be allocated an additional 10,000,000 GEL from the state budget.
