Salome Zurabishvili – We are hopeful for our partners. They should be either mediators or advocates of Georgia
We have not had diplomatic relations after Russia occupied our territories. So we are hopeful for our partners. They should be either mediators or advocates of Georgia. They should convince Russia that it should communicate with neighbors on the basis of international law and mutual respect. Only this can strengthen stability in the region – Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said in an interview with Deutsche Welle.
According to President Zurabishvili Georgia is a stable country in a not a very peaceful region. “There are a lot of instabilities in this region. However, despite all this, we were able to keep stability and our big neighbors should show big respect for it. Our European partners should impart this signal to the Russian authorities when they are discussing regional issues with them,” President of Georgia said.
