Salome Zurabishvili –International Labor Organization should not cooperate with Georgia through Moscow office
International Labor Organization (ILO) should not cooperate with Georgia through Moscow office – Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili raised this issue during the meeting with ILO Director-General Guy Ryder in Geneva before the International Labor Conference being held at United Nations Office.
Zurabishvili said that Georgia had the status of an associated member of the European Union and was not a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
According to the Presidential Administration, the Georgian President’s initiative is to coordinate activities in Georgia from the Central and Eastern European Bureau of the organization located in Budapest.
During the meeting with ILO Director-General, President of Georgia also focused on the current situation across Georgia’s occupied regions and underlined that locals residing across the occupied were unable to benefit from the reforms carried out by Georgia.
