Rustaveli Avenue’s Burchuladze: We take responsibility to ensure that no collapse happens when Ivanishvili’s regime comes to end
“On October 4, at 4:00 p.m., we call on everyone to gather on Rustaveli. Join us in a historic, national assembly; together, let us build a new Georgia, end Ivanishvili’s regime, and reclaim our homeland,” declared Paata Burchuladze, leader of the Rustaveli Avenue movement, who is the organiser of a rally on Election Day.
Burchuladze emphasised that no one should assume that the presence of others alone will suffice.
“Fellows, there are only hours left until October 4, a momentous victory for the Georgian people. We are gathering on Rustaveli to restore the power to the Georgian people that has been seized by Ivanishvili. We call on all those who seek a dignified and free Georgia to gather at Rustaveli on October 4 at 4:00 p.m. No one should think that the arrival of others alone will be enough. Many ask us what will happen once Ivanishvili’s regime falls. We accept full responsibility. The work of our state institutions will continue uninterrupted. If any minister or parliamentarian attempts to flee, it will not cause a collapse of functions. Indeed, such actions will not even disrupt operations temporarily. All vital state services, healthcare, salaries, pensions, law enforcement, and more, will be guaranteed.
I want to emphasise that the functioning of our state institutions depends not only on ministers but also on countless dedicated individuals across various agencies. We do not merely have expectations; we are confident that these people will continue to perform their duties.
So now, everything depends on us. On October 4, at 4:00 p.m., I urge everyone to come to Rustaveli. Join us in this historic, national assembly; together, let us build a new Georgia, bring Ivanishvili’s regime to an end, and reclaim our homeland,” Paata Burchuladze stated.
