The regulations for food facilities will be mitigated this week. In particular, 12 people will be allowed to sit at one table in an open space, this number is set at six by the current regulation. The head of the Labor Inspectorate Beka Peradze told the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

According to him, the purpose of the change is to encourage the cafes and restaurants to provide services to customers in open spaces, where the risks of spreading the coronavirus are lower than in closed halls.

According to Peradze, the change will be published in the coming days and will come into force.

Even indoors, the six-person restriction remains in effect.
