Rally ends on Rustaveli Avenue, traffic partially restored

The rally on Rustaveli Avenue concluded this morning, with cleaning services now working on-site. Traffic in the area has been partially restored.

Protesters remained on Rustaveli Avenue throughout the night, erecting barricades near the Opera House. Tensions escalated as demonstrators threw pyrotechnics and objects at law enforcement, set fires, and constructed additional barricades.

Police measures pushed the protesters towards the Rustaveli Metro Station, where they were repeatedly warned to disperse through sound signals. Law enforcement officers cleared the Opera House area and detained several individuals involved in the rally.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs used special measures, including water cannons. Authorities issued multiple statements urging protesters to cease illegal activities and comply with police instructions.
