Public Defender's representatives visit nine individuals detained on administrative charges
The Public Defender’s Office announced on Facebook that its representatives have visited nine individuals detained on administrative charges during the past night and today.
According to the statement, several detainees reported experiencing verbal abuse and unethical treatment from police officers. Two of the detainees additionally alleged excessive use of force and improper treatment by law enforcement.
The Public Defender’s Office has referred the cases to the Special Investigation Service for further investigation and indicated it would pursue appropriate legal action regarding other reported violations of rights.
