Prosecutor General’s Office questions Koba Liklikadze in connection with UNM’s Gia Baramidze’s probe
Interrogation is continuing at the Prosecutor General’s Office as part of an ongoing investigation into high treason and sabotage. Koba Liklikadze, Coordinator for the Protocol and Public Relations Department at the State Service of Veterans Affairs, is currently being interviewed by prosecutors.
According to Liklikadze, he has never heard any account of Georgians executing prisoners of war. He noted that the sheer severity of Giorgi Baramidze’s statement is reflected in the official reaction issued by the so-called Ministry of Foreign Affairs of occupied Abkhazia.
The investigation centres on comments made by Gia Baramidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement, in which he accused Georgian fighters of executing prisoners during the Abkhazian War.
Witnesses who have already been questioned within the proceedings have accused Baramidze of lying, branding his statement a deliberate provocation.
