“We count on the Georgian people. Our team has always counted on the Georgian people and will count on them in the future. As for the European Union, the political dialogue will continue within possibilities,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told reporters.
According to the PM, the Georgian government is open to a dialogue.
“As soon as we see the readiness of the European bureaucrats to resume a dialogue with the Georgian government, we will demonstrate our readiness, though their attitude is different for now. We see a certain Soviet approach when they fear dialogue, a discussion. The weak side is afraid of dialogue for having weak arguments. The EU is much bigger than us, I don’t mean that, but it is the weak side in the sense that the truth is not on the side of the European Union, the truth is on our side.
We will talk to everyone whom we can talk to, those who are open to a dialogue. This is our attitude. With this attitude, we have brought success to the country to this day, despite the greatest difficulties, and we intend to continue working in this way with everyone who wishes to do so,” he said.
