Prime Minister Kobakhidze holds talks with Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group
Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met on Friday with Chris Suphachai Chearavanont, Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, one of Thailand’s largest conglomerates, to explore major investment opportunities across the country.
According to the Government Administration, the discussions focused on future strategic cooperation and commercial opportunities, with particular emphasis on high-profile national infrastructure developments.
The two sides focused on the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project and the construction of the new Vaziani International Airport, highlighting their pivotal role in strengthening regional transport links and trade corridors. The leaders also explored shared potential in the energy sector, examining opportunities for renewable energy production using Georgia’s rich natural resources.
Kobakhidze reaffirmed that the Georgian government warmly welcomes foreign direct investment, offering international businesses a stable, predictable, and highly attractive commercial environment.

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani attended the high-level meeting.
