President Zurabishvili met with Speaker of Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis

As part of her official visit to Lithuania, President Salome Zurabishvili held a working lunch with Speaker of the Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis.

President Zurabishvili and Viktoras Pranckietis underscored the importance of Georgia-Lithuania strategic partnership and close cooperation in bilateral, multilateral, and inter-parliamentary formats that are based on common values, interests, and challenges of the two countries.

The significance of making use of potential cooperation frameworks in culture, education, trade, and transportation was also emphasized.

According to Head of the Georgia-Lithuania Friendship Group MP Beka Odisharia, it is important to refine the Georgian legal framework in accordance with the Association Agreement. Therefore, he added, receiving advice from Georgia’s colleagues is extremely interesting and valuable.
