Lithuanian Defence Deputy Minister visits Georgia

Deputy Minister of National Defence of Lithuania, Žilvinas Tomkus, is on a visit to Georgia.

Following a bilateral meeting at the Ministry of Defence, Deputy Minister of Defence Giorgi Khaindrava hosted the Lithuanian guest at the 4th Infantry Brigade in Vaziani.

The Ministry of Defence reports that Žilvinas Tomkus inspected a 500-kilowatt photovoltaic power plant (solar energy panels) installed at the military base with Lithuania’s support.

The deputy minister expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian representative for the support and highlighted that the project would result in budgetary savings for the department.

Following the Minister of Defence’s decision, there are plans to establish photovoltaic power plants in other significant units of the Defence Forces.
