President of Venice Port Pino Musolino who is visiting Tbilisi, spoke about the importance of Georgia and its transit potential in the interview with Venezia Today.
Georgia is one of the most important countries, and like Venice, is the gateway to the new markets, Mussolini said.
According to him, long-term cooperation with Georgia’s ports means that new ways to significant and potential markets will be opened for Venice.
According to Venezia Today, President of Venice Port Pino Musolino visited Tbilisi within the frame of Silk Road forum. He met Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Dimitri Kumsishvili, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi. Business talks were held with the executive director of Anaklia Port Levan Akhvlediani and representatives of Poti Port Terminal Company.
As Venezia Today reported, the president of Venice will arrive in Poti today to get familiar with the port infrastructure.
