President Kavelashvili meets face-to-face with Croatian President

The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, engaged in a face-to-face meeting with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović. The Georgian leader hosted his Croatian counterpart at the Presidential Palace.

According to the press service of the Presidential Administration, the two leaders discussed current issues concerning bilateral relations, explored prospects for further deepening cooperation, and addressed ongoing global developments.

The meeting underscored the enduring friendly ties, cultural kinship, and shared values that serve as a strong foundation for the continued development of their relationship.

As Mikheil Kavelashvili remarked during the talks, Croatia’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is highly valued. He also reaffirmed Georgia’s firm stance in supporting Croatia’s territorial integrity.

The discussion also covered economic relations and sectoral cooperation between the two nations.

Zoran Milanović’s visit to Georgia marks his first official visit at the presidential level, an occasion noted during the meeting as a significant step that will further invigorate bilateral dialogue and strengthen ties across all areas of mutual interest.

The Croatian President is undertaking an official visit to Georgia with a delegation comprising Bartol Šimunić, Head of the Cabinet of the Croatian President, Neven Pelićarić, Presidential Advisor for Foreign and European Affairs, Velibor Mačkić, Special Advisor to the President for Economic Affairs, Branko Zebić, the Croatian Ambassador to Georgia, and other representatives from the Presidential Administration.
