The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev.
According to the Presidential Administration, both sides positively assessed the close and friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan and discussed key areas of their strategic partnership. The meeting underscored the importance of stable and peaceful regional development.
President Kavelashvili noted that preserving regional peace and stability is more critical than ever amid global conflicts, tariff disputes, and geopolitical tensions. Both parties expressed readiness to further deepen strategic cooperation. President Kavelashvili also thanked Azerbaijan for its steadfast support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The discussion included details of the President’s upcoming official visit to Azerbaijan, scheduled for April 15–16.
