Heavy precipitation is expected throughout Georgia, snow in eastern regions of the country on December 23-24, the National Environment Agency reports.

Dense fog, snowstorms, and ice on the roads are in the weather forecast in mountainous areas, while a 2-3 magnitude storm will hit the seashore.

The expected heavy rains and snow may cause the avalanche hazard and landslide processes in the mountainous areas
