Police apprehend several protesters on Rustaveli Avenue [Video]

Police detained several protesters in front of the Parliament building after they refused to comply with orders to clear the road.

Earlier, a brief confrontation erupted between a small group of protesters and drivers. Some individuals had been obstructing vehicle passage, and one protester climbed onto a patrol police car.

Traffic has now been restored on Rustaveli Avenue, though the protest near the parliament continues.

Law enforcers remain on the scene to prevent, they assert, any unlawful actions.
