PM pledges to send substantial humanitarian aid to Turkey

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili once again condoled to the “brotherly nation” Turkish people over the deadly earthquake calling it a terrible tragedy.

The PM said that Georgia would do its best to assist the quake-ravaged neighbor country. He noted that solid humanitarian aid would be sent to Turkey on Monday or Tuesday, the government allocated 1 million GEL, the parliament, different institutions and private sector were involved in the aid collection efforts, Georgia dispatched 100 rescuers to the disaster zone.

“Once again, I extend my condolences to the Turkish people. I wish them endurance and quick recovery to the injured,” Irakli Garibashvili said.

On February 10, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili signed a decree allocating one million Georgian lari from the government’s reserve fund to find humanitarian aid for the people affected by the natural disaster in Turkey.
