PM: Nations remain resilient when they preserve clear sense of identity; In Georgia, this cultural foundation connected to Christian tradition

“Nations remain resilient when they preserve a clear sense of identity and remain faithful to the values that define them,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest, Hungary.

According to the PM, the world is undergoing an essential transformation, and nations can no longer be confident that the systems that worked yesterday will work tomorrow.

“We meet at a time when the world is undergoing essential transformation. Nations can no longer be confident that the systems that worked yesterday will work tomorrow. At such a time, every country must confront a fundamental question: how can we defend our national interests without losing our values and traditions?

For Georgia, this question is not hypothetical. For 30 centuries, our small country has stood at the crossroads of civilizations – connecting Europe and Asia, cultures, trade routes, and ideas.

Throughout our long history, we have learned an important lesson: nations remain resilient when they preserve a clear sense of identity and remain faithful to the values that define them. In Georgia, this cultural foundation has long been closely connected to our Christian tradition,” he said.
