PM Kobakhidze meets UN Resident Coordinator Didier Trebucq

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has met with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Didier Trebucq.

According to the Prime Minister’s press service, discussions focused on the importance of joint efforts in implementing the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026–2030.

“During the meeting, it was emphasised that the five-year framework agreement is built upon national priorities whilst reflecting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The meeting highlighted the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between the Georgian Government and United Nations agencies, which has contributed to strengthening the country’s institutional capacity and driving consistent reforms.

The parties also reviewed the human rights and humanitarian situation in Georgia’s occupied territories, underlining the vital role played by the UN in safeguarding the rights of conflict-affected populations,” the press statement read.
