PM Kobakhidze: Ivanishvili is our leader and a strong leader for the country

“Bidzina Ivanishvili is the leader of the governing team, giving both the party and the country a strong leader who guarantees peace and Georgia’s development,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

PM Kobakhidze said that Bidzina Ivanishvili, honorary chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, had played a decisive role in every achievement of both Georgia and the governing team.

“Bidzina Ivanishvili is our party’s honorary chairman. He is the leader of the team, and he is in politics. He isn’t coming back from anywhere, because he never left,” the prime minister said.

“He plays a decisive role in safeguarding our country’s security, keeping the peace and driving Georgia’s progress and development. I know from him personally that he wants everything to carry on as it is. As the team’s political leader, he plays a decisive role in everything our country and our team have achieved. That is the reality.

Bidzina Ivanishvili is involved in politics as the leader of our team. He has made his wishes clear. Had he wanted to be prime minister, he would have stayed on in 2013. Instead, he acted according to his own wishes then, and he still does today.

He is the leader of our political team, which means the team has a strong leader, and the country has a strong leader who guarantees its security, peace at home and our country’s development,” the Prime Minister concluded.
