PM Kobakhidze: Group staging daily protests of 20 to 150 people has resembled a cult
“The group that organises daily protests with sometimes 20, 50, or at most 150 people has really taken on the appearance of a sect, and they themselves can see that these protests of theirs are doomed to failure,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists in the United States.
According to him, the public sees everything, which is precisely why the overwhelming majority supports not the so-called protest, but rather the course declared and pursued by the government.
“The group that organises daily protests with sometimes 20, 50, or at most 150 people has really taken on the appearance of a sect, and they themselves can see that these protests of theirs are doomed to failure. However, gathering on a daily basis has become a sort of end in itself for them, merely so they can label all this a continuous protest.
On the contrary, these actions only serve to discredit their so-called protest. When you turn up every single day and show the public daily that your numbers are small, this naturally defies all logic, save for one explanation: they have received orders, and their instruction is precisely to act in the manner of a sect.
This is their unfortunate choice; this is their tragic choice. The public sees everything, and that is precisely why the vast majority of the public supports not the so-called protest, but the course declared and implemented by the government,” the Prime Minister noted.
