“The tangible results of Georgia’s ambitious infrastructure agenda are already clear to see: in 2025, container transit through Georgia via the Middle Corridor surged by 33%, while freight volume along the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway grew nearly sixfold,” the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated during his speech at the Georgia-Turkmenistan Business Forum.

The Head of Government welcomed Turkmenistan’s interest in expanding its logistics and warehousing capabilities adjacent to Georgia’s Black Sea ports.

“We warmly welcome Turkmenistan’s interest in expanding logistics and warehousing opportunities near our Black Sea ports. I am confident that our existing ports, alongside the upcoming Anaklia Deep Sea Port and its planned Free Industrial Zone, will offer an invaluable platform for Turkmen companies seeking to access regional markets.

Today, more than ever, the role of the private sector is paramount, as it is business that translates political partnership between nations into concrete economic outcomes. The state’s role is to guarantee a stable, predictable, and competitive environment, whilst the private sector drives new initiatives, investment, and job creation,” the Prime Minister stated.
