Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili met with the European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Han.
The dynamics of the implementation of the EU recommendations, the progress achieved by Georgia on the European integration path, and the main directions of the cooperation agenda between Georgia and the EU were discussed at the meeting held within the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
The high level of political dialogue between the European Union and Georgia was emphasized. Irakli Gharibashvili thanked Johannes Han for his steadfast support of Georgia’s European integration.
The conversation touched on the security environment and challenges in the region and the world. The Prime Minister noted that Georgia is a reliable partner and ally of the European Union in the region.
The EU Commissioner echoed his meeting with the Georgian PM on Twitter.
“Good meeting with PM Gharibashvili in the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos. We discussed the next steps on the country’s EU accession path, domestic and global economic developments and the impact of the war in Ukraine on Georgia,” he tweeted.
