Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated on Wednesday that there are currently approximately 30,000 Ukrainians living in Georgia.

During an interpellation in Parliament, the Prime Minister explained that out of this figure, 6,290 individuals possess the right to reside in Georgia, while the rest have been granted the opportunity to stay without holding a formal residence permit.

“There are 6,290 Ukrainians in Georgia. Additionally, under our legal provisions, almost 25,000 Ukrainians live in Georgia with refugee status, without a residence permit. In total, the number of Ukrainians in Georgia is roughly 30,000, of whom 6,290 have a residence permit, and approximately 25,000 are permitted to stay in Georgia without one,” Kobakhidze stated.
