Pascal Meunier: Georgia should relay on European friends

Georgia should relay on European friends, – Pascal Meunier, French Ambassador to Georgia stated.

According to Ambassador Russian troops must leave the territory of Georgia and Russia should develop a policy based on respect of its neighbors.

“ნFebruary 19, President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron at the meeting with his Georgian counterpart Salome Zurabishvili firmly stated that Russian troops must leave the territory of Georgia and fulfill the 2008 cease-fire agreement.

We are outraged by the numerous incidents at the occupation line, the abduction of Georgian citizens, by the fact that a citizen of Georgia died in captivity. As they say, he allegedly committed suicide after he tried to cross the occupational line and get on Russian military base. Therefore, we believe that Russia should fulfill its agreements, and develop a policy that respects its neighbors” – Pascal Meunier said.
