Tenders launched for construction of 19 new football technical centres across Georgia
The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure has officially launched a procurement tender for the construction of 19 new football technical centres and artificial-turf stadiums, the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced.
According to the Ministry, construction works will be rolled out across various regions, including: the village of Chitatskari in the Zugdidi municipality, Senaki, Tkibuli, the town of Kharagauli, Dedoplistskaro, the village of Tsilkani in the Mtskheta municipality, the village of Chabukiani in the Lagodekhi municipality, the town of Tianeti, the town of Stepantsminda in the Kazbegi municipality, Dmanisi, Tetritskaro, Ninotsminda, Gardabani, Marneuli, the town of Aspindza, the town of Akhaldaba in the Borjomi municipality, Kaspi, Khashuri, and the town of Agara in the Kareli municipality.
“The development projects entail the installation of 300-seat spectator stands, modern football pitches, officials’ and team changing rooms, showers, and dedicated technical facilities.
This new sports infrastructure aims to foster grassroots football across the regions and revitalise local sporting communities.
Looking ahead, the Municipal Development Fund plans to build more than 50 technical centres and artificial-turf pitches nationwide,” the Ministry of Infrastructure’s statement read.
