Official welcoming ceremony for Uzbek President held at Georgia’s Presidential Palace [Photos]

The official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has taken place at the Presidential Palace of Georgia.

During the ceremony, the national anthems of both nations were played, after which the two heads of state introduced their respective delegations.

Following the formal welcome, the Presidents of Georgia and Uzbekistan will hold a private, face-to-face meeting.

During the state visit, President Mirziyoyev is also scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. The leaders will oversee the signing of bilateral agreements and Memoranda of Understanding spanning various sectors.

Additionally, the President of Uzbekistan will lay a wreath at the Memorial to the Heroes Who Fell for the Unity of Georgia and will attend the unveiling ceremony of a monument dedicated to the renowned poet Alisher Navoi.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Georgia earlier today on an official state visit, accompanied by a delegation.
