President Mikheil Kavelashvili holds face-to-face meeting with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev

The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, has held a face-to-face meeting with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the Georgian President’s Administration, the two leaders reviewed the agenda of bilateral relations between Georgia and Uzbekistan. The parties paid particular attention to the upcoming signing of a strategic partnership agreement, which is set to elevate relations between the two nations to a qualitatively new level.

“The discussions touched upon economic ties, the prospects of developing the Middle Corridor, and the strengthening of coordination within international formats. In this context, the leaders highlighted the opportunities that a strategic partnership creates, both for bilateral relations and for bolstering connectivity between the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

According to the President, Georgia views Uzbekistan as a reliable partner and a friendly state, bound by mutual respect, shared interests, and a steadfast commitment to deepening cooperation,” the statement from the Administration of the President of Georgia read.
