Parliamentary regulation amendment offers one-time compensation for voluntary retirement

Changes are being introduced to the parliamentary regulations, according to which staff members of the parliament’s apparatus who have reached retirement age will receive one-time compensation if they leave their positions based on personal request.

According to the amendments, compensation for employees who have reached retirement age will be drawn from the parliament apparatus’s budget, with the amount and disbursement rules to be established by the Chairman of Parliament through a decree.

According to the draft, in case of dismissal from service based on an employee’s personal request, the Chairman of the Parliament is granted the authority to establish, by decree, the rules for issuing one-time compensation for parliament apparatus employees who have reached retirement age.

“This amendment will create additional social conditions for parliament apparatus employees who have reached retirement age, which will once again value their contribution to parliamentary activities over the years and help them better adapt to the changed environment,” notes the explanatory note to the bill.
