Georgia announces international tender for Black Sea coastal protection project

Georgia’s Roads Department under the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced an international tender to prepare a Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for coastal protection and rehabilitation measures along the Black Sea coastline.

The works will be carried out as part of the Green and Inclusive Regional Gateway Development Program, with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The Detailed Engineering Design is to be prepared for at least nine priority locations along Georgia’s Black Sea coast, including the Kobuleti coastline. The document will define the engineering solutions required to implement climate-resilient coastal protection and rehabilitation measures.

The company selected through the tender will have nine months to prepare the Detailed Engineering Design.

Interested consulting companies must submit their bids no later than October 2, 2026.
