Georgian Parliament Speaker, Kakha Kuchava met President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Rik Daems.
According to the Parliament’s Press Service, the sides spoke about the work of the Georgian delegation in the Council of Europe, implementation of the EU-brokered April 19 agreement, upcoming 2021 local elections in Georgia and the situation across occupied regions.
Parliament Speaker invited CoE election observers to monitor the October 2 local elections. He also noted that all political parties had to participate in the execution of the April 19 agreement.
PACE President received a promise from Georgian Parliament Speaker that he would be the chief speaker at the conference of CoE member states’ parliament chairpersons to be held in September in Athens, Greece.
