Parliament Speaker: Eka Gigauri's disgust after meeting with German Ambassador was paid for, funded by EC
“As I understand it, Eka Gigauri and German Ambassador Peter Fischer met in an apartment, not at the embassy; it was a private meeting,” stated the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.
Journalists asked Papuashvili to comment on the meeting between German Ambassador Peter Fischer and Eka Gigauri, head of Transparency International Georgia.
Papuashvili remarked that they observed Gigauri’s contempt. According to him, one million was paid for this hatred, and this money is being profited from.
“They are probably friends; I don’t know what other conclusion I should draw from this. The only thing I saw, and I want to emphasise this, was Gigauri’s contempt, this European disdain that she exhibited towards the journalist, towards what she calls “Russian television.” I don’t know what was discussed at the embassy or how she left the German ambassador’s residence so full of contempt, showing such hatred, such disdain.
Let me clarify: Transparency International is funded by the European Commission, and as we know from their own disclosures, one million has been paid for all of this. One million has been paid for this contempt and hatred. It appears that this money is being profited from,” Papuashvili concluded.
