Parliament approves amendments to Transparency Law in third reading

The Parliament of Georgia has considered amendments to the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence in the third reading and unanimously approved them with 81 votes.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee, Tornike Cheishvili, has presented the draft law.

According to the amendments, the powers defined by the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence will be transferred from the National Agency of Public Registry to the State Audit Service of Georgia.

In addition, corresponding amendments will be introduced to the Administrative Procedural Code of Georgia and to the Organic Law on the State Audit Service.
