The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported the arrest of M.F., born in 1993, on charges of human trafficking. The operation was conducted by officers of the Anti-Trafficking and Illegal Migration Division of the Main Directorate for Combating Organised Crime, in coordination with the Prosecutor General’s Office.
M.F., who has previous convictions for various crimes, was apprehended following investigative and operational measures.
According to the MIA, the investigation, which included undercover operations authorised by a judge, revealed that M.F. used psychological pressure and threats to force L.K., born in 1963, into engaging in sexual acts with multiple individuals in exchange for payment.
The suspect also appropriated a portion of the money earned in this manner. The case is being investigated under Part One of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a maximum sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
