Georgian President meets Bulgarian Ambassador

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia, Vesselin Valkanov.

According to the President’s press service, the meeting focused on the friendly relations between Georgia and Bulgaria, prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, and issues related to security and connectivity in the Black Sea region.

“It was noted that the partnership between the two countries is strengthened by historical ties, shared interests, and mutual respect.

The discussion also covered support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the importance of deepening cooperation in the Black Sea region, the development of energy and transit projects, and the agenda of Georgia-EU cooperation.

The President thanked the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria for his personal contribution to strengthening the partnership between the two countries,” the President’s press service said.

Mikheil Kavelashvili wished Vesselin Valkanov success in his future professional endeavours.
